I have another review site that I started a few months ago where I review full games and I gave Portal a 10! I won't spoil it all here, but the first 19 levels are correctly refered to as training levels. I beat the game in about 5 hours, with frequent stops for stupid reasons. Nothing captivated me more than trying to figure out a puzzle in a 3d environment. I do agree that valve should have emphasized more complex textures (the gray wall's are good up to a point). All in all, I beat it within three days playing sparingly (the ending credits is flipping fantastic, I won't spoil it though).
